Nocturne

A collaboration project between writer, HoneyButteryum, and artist, Fearhoodie.

"He couldn’t look away, the creature lit up by a moonbeam as it gazed—somber, almost—out the large windows to the lake beyond. Gentle waves lapped against its mechanical fins and tail that pulsed with a soft blue glow, everything about it quiet, still, artificial. Then, slow, it turned its head back to him, a smile growing on its too-human face.

Hank forgot how to breathe."

Nocturne is a collaboration project between the writer, HoneyButteryum, and the artist, Fearhoodie. Fearhoodie came up with the concept of the comic Nocturne and made a short comic around its key scene. HoneyButterYum wrote a detailed short story surrounding the concept.

Nocturne is about a security guard at a futuristic android aquarium that is able to teach its audience about sea life and extinction, without the moral conflict of keeping animals locked in disclosure. Not only does this aquarium have androids instead of biologic animals, they have also started to experiment with android mermaids, merdroids, to add some mystical fun and attract more people to learn about wildlife.

However, lately the aquarium has been broken into several times, so more security is needed to keep the aquarium safe. Hank Anderson, a former homicide detective has been hired for the job. Hank's detective background makes him curious to find and catch the intruders. But why are they even here in the first place? What makes these people want to break into an aquarium? And why does that one merdroid keep following Hank?

Hank Anderson and Connor below to Quantic Dream. This project is a fan work based around Detroit: Become Human, but has a lot of changes in characters and worldbuilding.
